Jimmy Psycho Brings "Horror Lounge" with "Mad Monster Cocktail Party"!!!

PRESS RELEASE:

Just in time for Halloween!!!

Jimmy Psycho has completed laying down the tracks for "Mad Monster Cocktail Party", the debut full-length release for The Jimmy Psycho Experiment.

Mad Monster Cocktail Party comes in at thirteen tracks of horror movie themes and standards played with a tiki/lounge/EZ listening vibe...what Jimmy refers to as "Horror Lounge Musick".

Mad Monster Cocktail Party is a definite light-hearted departure from Jimmy's long-time band, the  "Horror Rawkillbilly" outfit Psycho Charger.

Psycho says, "I've been a long-time tiki-phile and fan of the music associated with it.  While most people think of palm trees  and tall cool drinks when they hear the word "tiki", there's also a dark side to it...witch doctors, shrunken heads, references to voodoo... being  a fan of horror, I realized there's a way to put together music that touches on on that tiki-horror connection" . with this mindset and a few "Zombies" (the drink), Jimmy started to develop what he calls "Horror Lounge". "I like to think that these tunes will be played at a Halloween cocktail party,  or when a couple gets together for night-cap...I like to think this is the spookiest make-out record ever...".

Recorded in Los Angeles, the CD is being mixed in NYC by Scott Macintosh, former Psycho Charger drummer and now with El Jefe vs demons.  Artwork is being done by DW Friend, current PC drummer and Psycho Charger roadie/artist Peter "Party" Benedetti.

A highlight of the CD is a collaboration of The Jimmy Psycho Experiment and Psycho Charger performing the song "Grim Grinning Ghosts" (The Disney Haunted Mansion Song).

Mad Monster Cocktail party is scheduled for a release date of October 9th.  Two early releases of "Tubular Bells" (Theme from "The Exorcist") and "That Old Black Magic" will be available for download on iTunes in the near future.  While The Jimmy Psycho Experiment  has been approached by a few labels interested in releasing the CD, the band is still open to discussion.

No touring plans for the JPX  are in the works. Jimmy is returning to the studio to complete music for films and finishing up the latest Psycho Charger CD, to be released in early 2013.
